Health effects from Oil Based Drilling Fluid exposure vary depending on the chemical constituents of the drilling fluid. Oil based drilling fluid can cause skin disorders, such as dermatitis. Skin exposure can happen at the Shakers or the drilling floor while performing activities including cleaning, handling the fluid through pumping or mixing, making piping connections, mud tank cleaning, collection of samples or when invert spills occur.

Barrier Creams

Barrier creams have also been called pre-work creams, invisible gloves, or skin protective creams. They are meant to delay penetration of substances into the skin and are used to prevent irritation caused by occupational exposure to irritants. These are recommended to be applied before and during work.

Glove Clips
